What was your moment of clarity? For Nina Inayan, it was realizing that she didn't want other people to suffer from cancer like she did. As a child, Nina was diagnosed with Leukemia. Her diagnosis brought on a childhood marked by frequent hospital stays and uncertainty about her future. As she grew older, Nina realized her passion for pharmacy, and her dream to find a cure. This project was completed as part of a digital storytelling course. I created graphics to accompany the story.
In Fall 2021, I took the service-learning course MEJO 332: Public Relations Writing. My client was Open NC Collaborative, a civic tech nonprofit. Throughout the semester, I created PR deliverables and worked with a team to conduct a communication audit. My team also helped establish a PR strategy for our client for their rebrand into Code for the Carolinas. My work satisfied a major course component- a portfolio to highlight my skills in PR writing. Check out it out below:
A design highlighting my reduction of an image into a cohesive design.
I created a flyer to highlight the Innocence Project, an organization dedicated to reducing wrongful incarcerations.
For an assignment centered around brand storytelling. I envisioned an REI x UNC collaboration to encourage college students to explore NC.
For my final project, I designed a short video as part of a fictional campaign for Oreo. The assignment focused on producing a design in an expedited creative process. It also focused on telling a story by showing, not telling. I created a video for Oreo that targets working adults. I imagined Oreo implementing a campaign to encourage adults to take a break, take a bite.
